SportsSignup’s CEO Anthony Bruno on Rodger Wyland’s Fox 980 Sports Show!

Just the other day, SportsSignup’s CEO, Anthony Bruno was on Rodger Wyland’s Fox 980 Sports Show talking about the upcoming Freihofer’s Junior 3k Run, which SportsSignup is a proud sponsor of.

For 25 years, the Freihofer’s Run for Women has allowed hundreds of children to run in an unofficial, untimed race. This year marks the 2nd anniversary of the Freihofer’s Junior 3K Run, which is a professionally timed race on a closed course (ending at the same finish line as the Women’s Run) specifically for young runners between the ages of 9-14. There will be prizes for the top overall boy and girl in three distinct age groups.Freihofer’s Junior 3k Run

Last year was a small race (about 80 runners), as it was a closed race. This year it’s open registration, which means everyone is welcome! As Anthony said in the interview, “Most kids can probably just wake up and run a 3k.” The course can accommodate 1000s of runners so SportsSignup is dedicated to get as many kids running as we can!

The Friehofer’s Junior 3k Run is also a philanthropic race, as SportsSignup will be matching a $10 donation for every registered runner to the Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders at the Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center.
